Sometimes a family may feel
they have nowhere to turn
when faced with a serious issue.

It’s important that families and children dealing with trauma or facing crisis are always supported.

Often those in need are left feeling alone and suffering in silence, believing they have nowhere to turn or too ashamed to ask for help.

We have created a simple, smart, and affordable resource that reaches out to children and families to let them know where to find help when they need it.

The ASPCC This Little Card (TLC) Saves Lives campaign provides printed pocket resource cards that include the top national hotlines to assist with a variety of needs.

We are distributing TLC Cards throughout communities to law enforcement professionals, counselors, teachers, and nurses so they can share them with families or children who may be struggling.

“These little pocket cards have the potential to save lives,” saysTina McMechen, Acting Executive Director of the ASPCC,“We want them to be a physical reminder that people don’t have to live alone on an island of suffering. There are all kinds of free resources available, and we encourage people to find the strength to make that one phone call that could change their life.”

Everyone can use a little TLC. Please help us to get these cards out into communities, and into the hands of those who need them most!

TLC in ACTION

Tina McMechen, Acting Executive Director, recently delivered TLC cards to staff at Jonesboro Public Schools in Jonesboro, AR.

Lindi Wade, Behavior Health Specialist for the District, pictured above, says she believes the cards are a necessary and valuable intervention.

“The information shared on this card allows individuals to have agency resources immediately available. This will be a benefit to the comprehensive care of all of the children we serve.” – Lindi Wade, Jonesboro Public Schools
