#GivingTuesday – Child Abuse. What if Someone Had Spoken Up?

Nov 28, 2017 | #GivingTuesday, Advocacy, Community, WaysToGiveBack

It’s here! Today is #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving!

#GivingTuesday - American SPCCToday is one special day each year, when we truly harness the potential of social media and the generosity of people, just like you, to bring about real change in our communities, for children, and for families.

The statistics are shocking. Each week, the equivalent of a classroom of American children is lost forever due to abuse, neglect, and bullying – that’s 5 children a day.
Every day at American SPCC, we ask the question, what can we do to have a positive impact on the lives of children today, tomorrow, and in the future?

Now, we are asking you the question…
What if someone had spoken up?

What if someone had spoken up?
– A classroom of children in America wouldn’t be lost forever each month.

American SPCC | Child Abuse. What if someone had spoken up.

Perhaps, Emma would have grown up to be scientist, a wife, a mother, a volunteer at church.

Or, Mason might have been a teacher, a loving dad, T-ball coach, or a husband.

We’ll never know. They never got the chance to grow up.

What would you do?
Do you know how to recognize the signs of abuse?
Would you know how to, or where to, report suspected child abuse?

It’s never too late to speak up for all children who are experiencing abuse right now, or are in danger. Let’s honor those lives lost. Let’s not lose anymore kids.

Please help. With your support the American Society for the Positive Care of Children can continue their mission to help end child abuse and improve children’s lives.

Together we can do so much more than we can do alone.

You can help by joining the global #GivingTuesday movement, to help children have safer, healthier, and happier lives.

Whether it’s your time, a donation, or the power of your voice, it’s easy to give back, and every little bit helps.

You can come together with us, and bring your family, community, company, or your friends, and choose a way to give back or share your voice, and amplify small acts of kindness.
