Child Abuse is preventable. By acknowledging our own cycles (ACEs), we can utilize tools to move through our traumas, find healing, and reclaim our power to raise healthy and happy children.

While the numbers are staggering and there is still so much work left to do, there is hope.
American Society for the Positive Care of Children (American SPCC) was founded 10 years ago because we recognized that no other organization was focused on HOW to prevent child abuse.
Through our Parenting Resource Center, Trusted Parenting Network of 18 (and growing) experts, partnered Apps, blogs, and serving over 1 million families each year, American SPCC actively works to empower parents, teachers, and caregivers with the tools, resources, knowledge, and positive parenting support to prevent childhood adversity at the source, break generational traumas, and build brighter futures for our youth.
During the months of April’s Child Abuse Prevention Month and May’s Mental Health Awareness Month, American SPCC will guide you through a series of tools and resources to remind Parents, Caregivers, and Teachers that:
- You are so much more than your Adversity and Traumas.
- You are worthy of healthy friendships, relationships, and community.
- You and your inner-child are worthy of healing from your abuse and traumas.
- You can reclaim your power and break generational cycles of abuse and trauma.
- You are a good parent/caregiver/teacher, exactly as you are, at this moment.
During April and May, you can help American SPCC make a huge impact on the families we serve. By helping us reach our $5,000 fundraising goal, sharing our resources, or attending one of our virtual events, you are reminding parents around the world that hope still exists.
Let’s work together to prevent child adversity at the source and build healthier and stronger communities for our children. Make an impact, today!
