I know a neighbor who lives by himself but is very lonely and has always loved children (he is great with mine) and would love to adopt someone and give them a good home. I found this like to an “Adopting as a Single Parent” factsheet from Child Welfare Information Gateway- https://www.childwelfare.gov/pubPDFs/single_parent.pdf. I hope it helps!
