My sister is thinking about fostering a child. Where can I find the best collection of resources to share with her?

The American SPCC has some great links: https://americanspcc.org/foster-care/

Here is another site with helpful info: https://www.childwelfare.gov/topics/outofhome/foster-care/

I was a foster parent a few years ago, and it was challenging but also one of the most rewarding experiences of my life! One of the best things I did was talk to another parent who had gone through the experience. She was able to give me some great tips about navigating the system and how to make the child feel welcomed and loved in our home. Do you know anyone personally who has been a foster parent? Maybe they would agree to talk with you about it? For me, that was the most helpful thing.
