#GivingTuesday, The Generous Spirit of the Holiday Season
Coinciding with the Thanksgiving Holiday and the kickoff of the holiday shopping season, #GivingTuesday affords us a single day to come together to celebrate the great American tradition of giving, and the generous spirit of the holiday season.
#GivingTuesday is one day per year that is focused on charitable giving, and it is designed to transform how we think about, talk about and participate in the giving season.
“#GivingTuesday is a counter narrative to Black Friday and Cyber Monday because it reminds us that the spirit of the holiday giving season should be about community and not just consumerism.” Foundation. “The most meaningful gift we can give our children, loved ones, friends and neighbors is the commitment to work together to help build a better world. – Kathy Calvin, CEO of the UN
#GivingTuesday is a global initiative, that inspires us all to take a collaborative action to improve our local communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes we celebrate, and help create a better world.
Every day at American SPCC, we build a stronger community and develop a stronger anti-abuse message, by asking the question, what can we do to have a positive impact on the lives of children today, tomorrow, and in the future?
It can’t be done without your support. Your generosity helps children and families to grow and thrive, to be better people, and better parents.
Each day, you play a vital role in the lives of children and families in your community, when you volunteer in your neighborhood, when you share your story, when you spread a message of kindness, and when you donate to American SPCC.
We hope you will join the celebration of giving, and join American SPCC in making a better world for children on #GivingTuesday, December 2nd.
“What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” – Jane Goodall
