I Was the New Kid in Town

I was the new kid in town, I had recently moved from Indiana to Pennsylvania.  I have a brother right around my age and my only friend went to a different school therefore I spent most of the time with my brother and my friend Gab. Well the kids in my school chose to start a rumor that my brother raped and abused me. The rumors kept spreading and every day they got worse and worse and more detailed.

I went to the principal and they told me that I had to bring them a name or they don’t care.  No one would help.  I started dating a guy they didn’t like so they spread a rumor that he rapes and abuses me, then it was my brother and my ex boyfriend rape and abuse me together.  The school only has 615 kids in high school so news travels fast and I reached out for help and no would.  So I pulled out and went cyber, lost all contact with everybody in the school.

Well little did they know I was raped in the past – the rumors caused flash back and I tried to commit suicide. I was put in the hospital for 10 days then in a partial hospitalization for three months.  That is the problem with bullying: People really don’t know your past and how much damage one little rumor can cause!
