Board of Directors

Board Chairman – Jennifer Cramer

Jennifer Cramer is the inventor and co-founder of Language Tree LLC, one of the nation’s fastest growing and progressive children’s educational publishing company.  Jennifer believes that a child’s opportunity stems from education.  Her philanthropic passion stems from her desire to provide children with the greatest opportunities possible.

President – Terry O’Neal

Terry O’Neal brings with him more than twenty-five years of executive management experience in the non-profit and for-profit sectors.  As co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Lowestfare.com, a Carl Icahn company, Terry organically grew this start-up company from an initial seed investment of $100 thousand to revenues of more than $300 million annually in less than five years.  Terry was later hired to restructure, and establish financial accountability for the Canadian Diabetes Association.  Terry’s entrepreneurial  techniques resulted in significant net funding and returns to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the third largest not-for-profit in Canada.

Treasurer – J. E. Henningsen

J.E. Henningsen has over twenty years of business experience in the U.S. and abroad. As a business owner, analyst, and investor, Mr. Henningsen has consistently demonstrated an ability to identify problems and find creative solutions. His career exposure includes a diverse range of industries: Aerospace, construction, media, leasing, finance, and scientific research and development. After noticing a severe lack of child abuse prevention efforts in the United States along with soaring numbers of abuse cases, he founded the American SPCC. With the help of others, he hopes that the American people will be willing to protect American children in the same way that other industrialized nations do. He currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Omnisent LLC.

Member – Shelley Fuller

Shelley Fuller has spent over 15 years as a real estate professional, specializing in restaurant development, both domestically and internationally.  Recently, Shelley began a new chapter in her life, redirecting her career to focus her efforts in the nonprofit sector, with a passion to make a difference in the lives of others.   She believes that educating children and teens on healthy relationship skills, can prevent the cycle of abuse into their adult lives.   Shelley is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for Voices for Children, a nonprofit organization for foster children who are dependents of the San Diego County Court.

Secretary – Michael Shepard

Michael leads The Shepherd Group, Inc., an award-winning advertising & PR firm specializing in digital content.  He founded the agency, which has offices in Newport Beach and Palm Desert, in 1992.  Michael maintains an active leadership role in Southern California business and civic circles, heading initiatives for groups such as the Association of Corporate Growth (ACG) Orange County, Orange County Business Council, and the Coachella Valley Economic Partnership.   He also serves on the Board for the Coachella Valley Housing Trust.  His work with children has included Board service to the Boy Scouts of America – Sunrise Council and Childhaven, a Seattle-based agency caring for abused and neglected children, where he served as Board President during the mid-1990’s.
